Q: Do I have to have a business to start?
A: No, you do not have to have a revenue generating business to start. Many of our entrepreneurs do not even pursue the model that they came in with.
Q: How much do the programs cost?
A: While Domi Station fundraises to subsidize the bulk of the Incubation programming, we ask that each participating entrepreneur pay a registration fee to offset our costs and ensure that we can dedicate the necessary resources to this program. For Gearup it is $250 flat fee, $50 a month for mentor support, and an option for modules at $150 each. Ascend is $350 flat fee, $150 a month for mentor support, and $150 per optional module.
Q: Do I get access for Coworking?
A: Gearup and Ascend members get access to the space for events, mastermind, and workshops but regular corworking from 9-5 daily is offered at a discount to incubation members: $50/month.
Q: Time commitment?
A: We strongly believe that you get what you put into this program, but as for the program expectations we require 75% participation. This includes masterminds, mentor meeting, monthly reporting of KPI’s and goal tracking. Gearup is a month to month commitment that can last up to a year. Ascend is 6 month commitment renewable for up to 2 years.
Q:Are the programs for certain types of companies?
A: No, Domi’s Incubation programs support companies form completely different sectors including but not limited to, technology, consulting, food, and B2C retail. We have mentors/connections in almost ever sector.
Q: What is the structure of the program?
A: The program, both Gearup and Ascend, are a blend of online curriculum, in person optional workshops, mentor access, and entrepreneur networking.
Q: Does Domi provide funding for the startup?
A: No, Domi does not personally provide funding for startups but we do provide resources and connections for the entrepreneurs to go for funding both from pitch competitions and investors.
